Trains in Transdniestr
Train service to/from Transdniestr, suspended since 2006, resumed in late 2010. A schedule was not provided, however the 2006 schedule included seven daily trains to Chisinau, three to Odesa, two to Moscow and Minsk and one to St Petersburg. There’s also a daily train to Moscow, via Kiev, leaving at roughly 2am. Your best public transport option to/from Chisinau is still bus/maxitaxi.
From Tiraspol: Tickets for same-day departures are sold in the main train station ticket hall. There is also an information booth where questions about national train services cost $0.05 and questions about services to CIS countries costs $0.10 (apparently most tellers don’t bother charging these fees). Buy advance tickets (24 hours or more before departure) in the ticket office on the 2nd floor.
