Aleea Pelesului 2
email: srpsinaia at apps dot ro
Leif’s take: Just outside the Peles Castle gate, this place is about as close to ‘budget’ as you can get in Sinaia these days. Castle-like in appearance, a few rubes have mistaken the hotel as Peles itself! Breakfast included.
Hotel Caraiman

B-dul Carol I 4
Leif’s take: Of the faded-glory century-old hotels – and Sinaia teems with them – we like the 1881 red-and-white Caraiman most, for being less royal ball and more rustic and laid-back, with unfailingly friendly staff. Rooms are simple – beige carpets, tiled bathrooms with standing showers, half looking west towards the mountains over a small park.
